The human brain is the central organ of the human nervous system, and with the spinal cord makes up the central nervous system. The brain consists of the cerebrum, the brain stem and the cerebellum. It controls most of the activities of the body, processing, integrating, and coordinating the information it receives from the sense organs, and making decisions as to the instructions sent to the rest of the body. The brain is contained in, and protected by, the skull bones of the head.
1.The cerebrum The cerebrum is the largest part of the human brain and it is made of two cerebral hemispheres It is concerned with memory,intelligence and all voluntary actions in a human and in man they are concerned with the emotions.Intelligence and the ability to learn depends upon its surface area and digree of development. 2.Hypothalamus hypothalamus is an important reagon concerned with regulation of body temperature,blood osmotic pressure,sleep,appetite ,sleep and emotions. The pipituary gland is also attached to hypothalamus it produces many important hormones like A.D.H which regulates blood water level 3.Hind Brain The cerebellim lies behind the optic lobes.Its surface area is very large and it plays an important role in muscular co-ordination and body balance. The medulla obloganta lies bellow cerebellum and it controls volantary actions such as heart beet,perestalasis,rate of respiration and artery dilation
